What is "AAA Award"? It stands for Academic Athletic Achievers. Started in Fall 2012 to encourage our young female athletes to aspire to higher education while being an volleyball athlete. Majority of our student athlete comes from broken families, low income, first generation education, and environments where education and sports was never a priority. With that in mind, our varsity coach created a student athlete recognition program design for the varsity players. Fully funded by the varsity coach, each varsity member receives a personalized t-shirt with their last name on it.

Requirement for patches:

- Must be a varsity volleyball athlete AND complete each varsity volleyball season at Saddleback High School.

- Academic Patch: Student athlete must maintain a specific GPA or higher each semester. **

- Athletic Patch: Student athlete must demonstrate good leadership, good character, consistent athletic improvement, and follow the team motto "determination, dedication, and believe". **

** Both academic and athletic patch can be retroactive to the student's previous completed VOLLEYBALL season(s) at Saddleback High School. The decision is solely at the discretion of the varsity head coach.

- The rewards will be issue during the athletes' senior year and athlete can obtain one, two, or all three awards:

Rewards:

Green Award: 4 patches - Free dinner recognition

White Award: 8 patches - Free musical, broadway show, or Disney Tickets

Gold Award: 12 patches - Nook, Tablet, or Kindle (will vary)
